I'm not sure how much we're supposed to write on these chapters but here goes I guess. My take on these chapters is that a game can be a game, a game can be an idea but not all ideas are fun. When creating a game as best as I can define t for myself is to have a complex but also not complex foundation of the game so that you can play around  apiece together mechanics and actions as a response to a players input and decision making. To build the skeleton with the endless possibilities of what each bone means or what it has to do with said game, the exploration of it all.
